Ivory Legal PLLC founder Davin L. Seamon is a recovering BigLaw partner. After nearly 20 years of being tethered to productivity metrics as a partner in a large law firm, he realized that putting mountains of hours on a timesheet was not effectively putting the client’s needs first.

He knew that turning clients away because they couldn’t afford his hourly rate — or the idea that taking a certain project would hurt his cumulative “productivity score” — was an innate problem with working for large firms. His desire to be his clients’ trusted advisor outweighed the financial benefits of working for a large law firm.

Wanting to help businesses that are looking for “Big Firm” talent but with a “Small Firm” price tag and individualized attention, Davin created Ivory Legal PLLC, to provide Bespoke Business Counsel™ to all types of businesses and disrupt the paradigm of business law practice.

He serves on the Board of Directors of the Clarksburg-Harrison Cultural Foundation, Inc., is a founding member of Morgantown roots rock / Americana favorite, The New Relics, and Clarksburg art rockers, The Grey Agents, is a frequent musical contributor to West Virginia Jazz Society events, and is raising 3 talented children with his wife — and fellow attorney — Heidi.
